A full diagnosis was made, and a treatment plan was drawn up using the Damon Q bracket system with support from orthodontic mini-screws. The patient had an anomaly in the position of the tongue, which is a common cause of open bite and trem. An important goal of this treatment to avoid relapse was to restructure the function of the tongue, which was successfully accomplished. The patient has had a stable situation for several years.
Diagnosis:
Mesial occlusion of lateral teeth, open incisor disocclusion, tremas, discrepancy of midlines, anomaly of position and function of the tongue.
