A full diagnosis was carried out with condylography, CT, a comprehensive treatment plan was drawn up with the choice of a new therapeutic position of the lower jaw, using the Pits 21 bracket system. The patient had an anomaly in the position of the tongue, which is a common cause of open bite. An important task of this treatment in order to avoid relapse was the restructuring of the tongue function. Orthodontic treatment lasted 11 months.
Diagnosis:
Mesial occlusion of lateral teeth, open incisor disocclusion, misalignment of midlines, anomaly in the position and function of the tongue.
