Traumatic bite and protruding teeth in a child: how we repositioned the jaw without surgery

The mother brought the child for examination for orthodontic treatment. The patients complained of protruding teeth, posterior position of the lower jaw, lower teeth traumatizing the palate.

The patient was offered orthodontic treatment to expand the upper jaw using a fixed HAAS appliance, a partial bracket system to normalize the position of the teeth and using overlays to reposition the lower jaw.

Diagnosis:
Retroposition of the lower jaw, distal occlusion of the lateral sections, traumatic bite, deep incisal disocclusion, narrowing deformation of the alveolar arches, diastema, tremas, protrusion of the frontal teeth, sagittal gap.
