Clinical examination revealed previously placed composite veneers and a compromised bite relationship. Comprehensive functional diagnostics demonstrated that immediate replacement with ceramic veneers would involve a high risk of chipping, overload, and reduced longevity of the restorations.
Based on functional analysis and long-term prognosis, a staged treatment approach was selected. Prior to prosthetic rehabilitation, the patient underwent orthodontic preparation using clear aligners. This phase allowed us to:
- stabilize the occlusion,
- optimize load distribution,
- create predictable conditions for ceramic restorations.
Following successful orthodontic alignment, custom refractory ceramic veneers were fabricated and placed.
Advantages of refractory veneers
- superior aesthetics achieved through hand-layered ceramic technique,
- individual fabrication without pressing molds,
- exceptional marginal accuracy,
- natural translucency closely mimicking enamel,
- high strength with minimal thickness,
- long-term color and structural stability.
The final result is a natural, harmonious smile combined with a stable and functionally sound occlusion — a critical factor for the durability and success of ceramic veneers.
