Anterior Crossbite and Initial Tooth Position
Before treatment, the following findings were present:
- anterior crossbite;
- early wear of the upper incisal edges;
- proclination of the lower central incisors;
- gingival recession in the lower anterior region.
The primary objective of the first stage was to eliminate the abnormal incisor relationship and improve the position of the anterior teeth.
Correction with a Removable Orthodontic Appliance
A removable orthodontic appliance with an anterior bite plane was provided.
The appliance was used to:
- eliminate traumatic anterior tooth contact;
- correct the crossbite involving the central incisors;
- improve the anterior tooth relationship;

One-Month Treatment Progress
After one month of treatment, the central incisors had been corrected out of crossbite.
At the current stage:
- the traumatic occlusal interference has been eliminated;
- the central incisors are no longer in a crossbite relationship;
- the functional blockage affecting mandibular growth is no longer present.
This progress made it possible to proceed to the next stage of orthodontic correction.
Next Stage of Orthodontic Treatment
Placement of a partial fixed orthodontic appliance on the upper arch is planned.
The objectives of this stage are to:
- correct tooth rotations;
- refine the position of the anterior teeth;
- continue improving their alignment within the upper dental arch.
Regular monitoring of permanent tooth eruption and tooth position within the dental arch is also recommended.
