Orthodontic Elastics for Bite Closure
During treatment, the patient also wears orthodontic elastics (rubber bands) according to the orthodontist’s instructions.
The elastics are used as part of the current orthodontic mechanics to improve the relationship between the upper and lower dental arches and support proper bite closure.
Following the prescribed wear schedule for the elastics is an important part of this treatment stage. The patient is compliant with the orthodontist’s recommendations, including the use of elastics.
How the Bite Has Changed During Treatment
